The Peugeot 308 is a compact family car (C-segment) available as a stylish five-door hatchback or a practical SW (estate). The current third-generation model stands out with its premium interior, bold design, and a comprehensive range of powertrain options, including fully electric, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid variants.

Design and Technology

The 308 features Peugeot's latest design language and the high-tech PEUGEOT i-Cockpit interior.

Exterior: The design is sharp and aerodynamic with a new, illuminated vertical front grille featuring the updated lion emblem and signature three-claw LED lighting at both the front and rear.

Interior: The cabin includes a compact steering wheel, a high-mounted digital instrument panel (with a 3D holographic effect on GT trims), and a 10-inch central HD touchscreen with customizable "i-Toggles" for shortcuts. It supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Safety: The 308 has a four-star Euro NCAP safety rating, with features like Active Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assistance, and adaptive cruise control available.

Practicality: The hatchback offers 412 litres of boot space (361 litres for the plug-in hybrid model). The larger SW estate version provides a generous 660 litres, expanding to 1,775 litres with the seats folded.

Powertrain Options

The third-generation 308 provides various engine choices, including a fully electric e-308.

Petrol (PureTech): A 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine is available in 75 hp (select markets), 100 hp, and 130 hp outputs, typically with a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission.

Mild-Hybrid: A new 1.2L Hybrid 136 (136 hp) 48V system with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (e-DCS6), offering improved efficiency.

Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV):

Hybrid 180 e-EAT8: 180 hp combined output, offering an official electric range of up to approximately 37 miles (60 km).

Hybrid 225 e-EAT8: 225 hp combined output, with a pure electric range of up to 42 miles (66 km).

Electric (e-308):

Motor: A 115 kW (156 hp) electric motor.

Range: The official WLTP range is up to approximately 281 miles (452 km) for the hatchback, with an improved 54 kWh (gross) battery.

Charging: Supports up to 100 kW DC fast charging, allowing a 20-80% charge in around 30-32 minutes.

Trims

Available trims include Allure, GT, and GT Premium, each offering a distinct level of equipment.

Allure: Standard features include 17-inch alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, LED headlights, and the 10-inch touchscreen system.

GT: Adds premium features such as Matrix LED headlights, a heated steering wheel, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a 3D effect digital instrument cluster.

GT Premium: The top-tier trim, which may include features like a 360-degree parking camera, self-parking assist, massaging front seats, and an upgraded sound system.
