Peugeot 508

Peugeot 508

The Peugeot 508 is Peugeot's flagship large family car, available as a sleek five-door fastback and a practical SW (estate), offering a blend of sharp design, a high-quality interior (PEUGEOT i-Cockpit), and diverse powertrain options including plug-in hybrids. A high-performance Peugeot Sport Engineered (PSE) variant is also available.

Body Styles

Fastback (Saloon/Liftback): This model features a sporty, low-slung coupe design with frameless doors and a practical five-door liftback configuration for boot access.

SW (Estate/Sportswagon): The estate version offers more boot space (530 litres, expandable to 1,780 litres) and a slightly different roofline while maintaining the stylish aesthetic.

508L: A China-exclusive, long-wheelbase traditional four-door sedan with framed doors. Powertrain Options

The 508 is available with petrol, diesel (in certain markets), mild-hybrid, and plug-in hybrid engines, all typically paired with an 8-speed EAT8 automatic transmission.

Note: Diesel options, such as the 1.5L BlueHDi 130 hp and prior 2.0L variants, were available on older models or specific markets but have largely been phased out of the main lineup in favor of electrified options.

Key Interior and Safety Features

The 508's interior is defined by Peugeot's modern design philosophy and advanced technology. PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®: Features a small, compact steering wheel, a configurable 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, and a central 10-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system.

Technology: Includes smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360° camera system, and available features like night vision, adaptive suspension, and massaging seats.

Safety: Standard safety equipment includes automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and speed sign recognition. The second-generation model achieved a full five-star Euro NCAP safety rating when equipped with optional safety packs.
