
MetLife Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey, United States, 5 mi (8 km) west of New York City. It opened in 2010, replacing Giants Stadium, and serves as the home for the New York Giants and New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). It is also scheduled to host the Final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. At an approximate cost of $1.6 billion, it was the most expensive stadium built in the United States at the time of its completion.

MetLife Stadium is one of 16 venues, as well as one of the eleven American venues which will host matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. As per FIFA requirements, the stadium will have a grass field installed for the World Cup matches. During the event, the stadium will be temporarily be known as "New York New Jersey Stadium" in accordance with FIFA's policy on corporate sponsored names. In February 2024, the stadium was announced as the host of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final. In addition, the stadium will host five group stage matches, one Round of 32 match, and one Round of 16 match.
