Born: 16 May 1962 to Mary and John in Valletta and has one brother and two sisters. His father is the late Prof. John Buontempo who served as ambassador to various Arab and Middle Eastern countires, and single-handed worked tirelessly to solve the Lockerbie trial impasse. He is married to Natasha, a lawyer and has two children Giovanni and Beppe
Education: He studied architecture in Cardiff and California
Work experience: 1996 2003 He was appointed Consultant to the Minister of Housing and Local Councils
He became a member of parliament and championed the social justice cause particularly social housing. In the previous legislature he also served as Shadow Minister for Local Councils.
