LEGO Jungle

LEGO Jungle

The term "LEGO Jungle" has been used for two different themes: a discontinued sub-theme of LEGO Adventurers in 1999 and an ongoing sub-theme of LEGO City that returned in 2024.

Current Theme: LEGO City Jungle (2024)

The current jungle-themed sets are part of the main LEGO City line and focus on modern exploration, discovery, and wildlife rescue. These sets are available now and feature new animal molds and diverse minifigures, sometimes including a homage to the classic Johnny Thunder character.

Jungle Explorer Helicopter at Base Camp (60437): A large base camp set with a twin-rotor helicopter, and minifigures.

Jungle Explorer Off-Road Truck (60426): Includes a truck, a jungle cave, and a tiger figure.

Jungle Explorer Water Plane (60425): Features a water plane and a family of crocodiles to discover.

Jungle Explorer ATV Red Panda Mission (60424): A small set for an explorer with an ATV to find a red panda.

Discontinued Theme: LEGO Adventurers: Jungle (1999)

This was a sub-theme of the discontinued LEGO Adventurers line, released in 1999 (also known as "Amazon"). It followed the hero Johnny Thunder and his team into the Amazon rainforest to find an ancient Sun Disc, battling villains Señor Palomar and Rudo Villano. These sets are now only available from re-sellers.

River Expedition (5976): Featured a large river boat and a blimp (an item unique to this theme at the time).

Expedition Balloon (5956): Included a hot air balloon for aerial exploration.

Jungle Ruins (5986): The main temple/ruin site where the sun disc artifact was hidden, often guarded by the character Achu.

Ruler of the Jungle (5906): A smaller set featuring Achu, the protector of the Sun Disc.

Other Jungle Appearances

The jungle biome has also appeared in other official LEGO properties:

LEGO Ninjago: The ninja have had several adventures and sets in jungle environments.

LEGO Fortnite: A "Jungle" biome was added to the game in 2024, featuring unique plants, resources, and creatures.
