Spain are the 2026 FIFA World Cup champions, defeating Argentina 1–0 after extra time in the final at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The decisive goal came from Ferran Torres in the 106th minute, shortly after Argentina's Enzo Fernández was sent off. Spain dominated much of the match, earning their second men's World Cup title (their first since 2010), while Lionel Messi's bid to win back-to-back World Cups with Argentina came to an end.
