Typhoon Dujuan Leaves Dead and Missing in Japan

Typhoon Dujuan brought torrential rain and landslides to Japan’s Pacific coast, killing four people and leaving six missing, according to Japan’s NHK. Around 45,000 households lost power, while emergency crews continued searching areas affected by landslides in Kanagawa and Chiba prefectures.

The storm also disrupted transport and other public services around the Tokyo region. Authorities warned of continuing flooding and landslide risks as heavy rain persisted in parts of eastern Japan.
