Russian Drone Campaign Hits Kyiv School as Ukraine Struggles With New Threat

A Russian drone struck a school in Kyiv on Thursday while more than 100 pupils were sheltering inside; no students were injured, but the building was damaged. Other Russian attacks injured people in Kyiv and Odesa and damaged infrastructure, while Ukraine continued its own strikes against Russian oil and military targets.

The latest attacks highlight a new problem for Ukrainian air defences: Russia is increasingly using jet-powered drones that fly faster and at higher speeds than earlier Shahed-type systems.
