On Tuesday, a rash that reporters had observed on US President Donald Trump's neck in photos from a Medal of Honor ceremony at the White House one day earlier appeared to have been covered up. One media source indicated the substance used was cosmetic makeup, although Trump's physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella, told the source the rash had been covered up by a "very common cream."

President Trump has worn makeup in public before. He once wore makeup to obscure bruises on his hands, which White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, stated were inflicted from "shaking hands all day every day." Trump himself has attributed the bruises to his use of aspirin, of which he says he takes excessive amounts. Trump said, "They say aspirin is good for thinning out the blood, and I don’t want thick blood pouring through my heart. I want nice, thin blood pouring through my heart. Does that make sense?"
